Do you take consigments?

No, we do not take consignments at this time. All of our merchandise is ours. Although the Treasure Box began with consignments in mind, that lasted for only one month. So for our entire 13 years, we have been a THRIFT STORE, not a consignment store.

Do you accept donations?

Yes, we do accept donations! We are very grateful for the many Friends of the Treasure Box (FOTB) who bring us their still-usable items which we can offer in the store. However, our storage space is limited and our store footprint is not huge (about 2000 square feet). So we are compelled to be selective in our donation acceptance. For instance, we generally will not take furniture. And we will not accept household appliances.

We accept donations during store hours, except on weekends or holidays, when customer traffic prevents donation processing.

If you have things to donate, we encourage you to call us to discuss what you have and whether we can take it.

Do you buy items?

Yes, we do buy some inventory on a very selective and strategic basis. Our decision on whether to buy inventory depends on several factors:

Will the item be in demand at the store?
How long will we need to hold it before someone buys it?
Will we be able to earn a reasonable profit from the sale? This depends not just on what we can sell it for, but also on what you are willing to take for it.

We ask you to call us to discuss what you have and whether we can take it.

We do not usually take furniture because we are space constrained. There are always exceptions to this rule of thumb. If you have furniture to donate, we encourage you to contact us so we can discuss.

The Treasure Box is a private, family-owned and family-operated store. While we personally are faith-based and charity-oriented, we run the store as our family’s small business enterprise that aims to do three things:

Give new life to old treasures by keeping them from the trash pile and the landfill
Make good things affordable, saving money for our customers
Make a positive impact on our community by showing hospitality to every person who walks through our doors
